Darkness in the Delimbiyr
Although the 2000-something residents have a general dislike of their newly appointed governor, Lord Geildarr, the simple folk get on with their lives as best they can. Those living in this isoolated town still delve in the old, nearly worked-out mines that honeycomb the mountains to the north and east. However, once ore and metal-vein like dried up, many more citizens find profit in assisting the massive trade caravans – mostly Zhentarim owned – that rattle along The Black Road from the blistering winds of the Anauroch in the dry east.
While the old lords of Llorkh, respected miners and warriors of the north, never would have tolerated the Zhentarim in their midst, today is a different story. After the last of the old lords died without an heir – some claim of mysterious circumstances – a new Lord seized the keep in the interests of keeping the small town from economic collapse. This new Lord, Geildarr does keep order in the town with his purple-cloaked “Lord’s Men”. While few can complain about these new masters, as they do keep the borders safe and orc-free, they are not loved or even liked by these simple townsfolk.
