Greypeak Mountains

The Greypeak Mountains seperate the Fallen Lands and the great desert known as the Anauroch from the Delimbiyr Vale. The mountains are named after the grey-skinned Stone Giants who inhabit them. Other inhabitents include orcs, goblins, bugbears, the wild men of the north, young dragons and worgs. Travelers in this region should also beware of large – and heavily armed – expeditions mounted each year by the Cult of the Dragon, to seek both dragons and treasure, hidden deep within the mountains.

The Greypeak Mountains are also home to the dwarven fortress-city called Zhedarak, founded by dwarves keen on re-taking their past fallen glories, such as the fabled citadel of Ammarindar from the depths. Although claiming no unique home of their own, since the fall of the seemingly-cursed Brittlebury Enclave, nearly one quarter of Zhedarak is populated by gnomes. Dwarves generally enjoy the cousin of their diminutive albeit quirky cousins, valuing their skill with magic, artifice and gems.

The Greypeaks are strewn with ruins, caves and caverns, and almost as many giants, dragons and strange beasts from the Underdark – truly a place where adventurers and thrill-seekers can feel at home.
